Address
In digital currency, an address is basically a destination where a user sends and receives digital currency. In a way, it's like a bank account. These addresses usually include long series of letters and numbers.

Altcoin
An altcoin is a digital currency other than bitcoin. Another way to describe the term "altcoin" is to refer to it as an alternative protocol asset, which means that it follows a protocol (set of rules) that differs from the bitcoin protocol.

Arbitration
In cryptography, arbitrage is the use of the difference in price between two different exchanges. If bitcoin is sold for 8,950 pounds on one exchange and 9,000 pounds on another, a trader can buy the digital currency on the first exchange and sell it on the second with a small profit.

ATH
"ATH" is short for "all-time high". This term can be quite useful for tracking digital currency markets. These assets are so volatile that don't forget about their ATH. The digital currency has the potential to reach several local highs before rising to a new all-time high.

Bear/Bearish
"Bears" believe that an asset, such as a digital currency, will fall in value. In other words, if a trader thinks that the cryptocurrency will depreciate, his attitude towards the digital asset will be "bearish." In many situations, traders use this expectation by opening a short position on an asset, which means that they will make a bet that will pay off if the asset falls in price.

Blocks
Many digital currencies use blocks that contain transactions that have been confirmed and then combined.

The Blockchain
The blockchain, which is a distributed registry system, consists of a series of blocks. These blocks contain verified transactions. The blockchain has been designed to be not only decentralized, but also immutable, which means that records cannot be deleted after being placed in this distributed registry. The idea of blockchain was first introduced when a Bitcoin whitepaper was released in late 2008.

Bullish / Bullish
If a trader believes that an asset will rise in value, he or she is a bull. When an investor has this optimistic expectation of a future bull on an asset, such a sentiment is described as "bullish."

Consensus
A digital currency network reaches consensus when the network nodes agree that a transaction has taken place. This agreement is crucial if different network participants (nodes) need to have the same information. In other words, consensus is crucial for distributed ledger systems.
